Drop-Out Prevention Coordinator

Individual responsible for implementing and administering a Drop-Out Prevention Program. Program coordinators typically are responsible for overall identification and tracking of students at-risk of dropping out; developing and overseeing training programs for school staff, so that they can identify and help at-risk students; developing and maintaining collaborative efforts between schools and community services, business, churches, etc., to work with at-risk students; recommending improvements to the program or school policies for dealing with at-risk students. A Drop-Out Prevention Coordinator at the school level will counsel and set-up alternative schedules and classes for the at-risk students in that school.
